Remember... Members Only jackets? They were big in the 80's, and for some reason the style just resonated with people. My parents were too cheap and/or practical to get me one. I ended up with some lame rip-off that I can't even remember.

Well, there was at least one person behind the scenes who sat down and brain stormed Members Only, good or bad. They discarded lesser concepts, sketched out designs, and bounced ideas off close friends.

There is probably a notepad somewhere with a bunch of name ideas crossed off like Private Club or Exclusive Style. There's a story behind it, and as far as I know, it has never been told.

I think behind-the-scenes stuff like that is cool. So, we're giving you a look behind the clunker commerce curtain. What was the inspiration for our designs? How hideous were the prototypes?
